AFC Show's U-19 team will play in the U-19 2nd Division, where the opponents are the Kristiansand Gladiators, Tønsberg Raiders, Åsane Seahawks and Lillestrøm Starfighters. The three best teams from the 2nd Division go on to the Norwegian Championship playoffs, where they'll have a chance to upset one of the 1st Division teams on the road towards the Norwegian Championship trophy. The U-19 1st Division consists of the Oslo Vikings, Vålerenga Trolls and Eidsvoll 1814s. The Vålerenga Trolls are the reigning U-19 champions after winning the title in 2011, when the 1814s were the runner-up.

The AFC Show U-19 team aims to make the playoffs in 2012, which would be a huge step forward for a junior program that went winless in 2009 and 2010 before pulling out of the 2011 season just days before the first games of the year - a decision that drew a lot of well-deserved criticism from other clubs. The 2012 edition of the team comes into the season better prepared than ever before, and with some experienced players as well. Mathias F. Bruset played for the U-19 team in 2010 before spending 2011 and parts of 2012 with the London Blitz U-19 program. Kåre Vedvik and Odin Olesen are back after a year in US high schools; both of them saw the field extensively for their high school teams. Tønnes Smith Egeland and Jon Andreas Vika both have seen the field for the AFC Show senior team; Smith Egeland during the 2012 season and Vika in one game during the 2011 season. Vebjørn Boge Nilssen is another exciting young player that have caught the coaching staff's attention.

The entire AFC Show organization wishes the U-19 team good luck for the 2012 season. We hope to see you at their home games supporting the future of football in Stavanger!

The game starts at 2PM, and will be played at the ISS Stadium (International School of Stavanger). Attendance is free. GPS reference: Treskeveien 3.

Saturday September 1st will see the Kristiansand Gladiators and AFC Show clash again. However, despite facing eachother two times earlier in 2012, this will be a very different matchup, as it is the U-19 teams of the two clubs that will face eachother.

The game takes place in Stavanger, and is one of two home games in the regular season for the U-19 team. The youngsters have prepared well throughout the last months, as Head Coach Truls Ødegaard and his staff are working hard to field a competitive side.

With players such as QB Tønnes Smith Egeland, TE/K Kåre Vedvik, WR/DB Vebjørn Boge Nilssen, WR/DB Jon Andreas Vika and LB Mathias F. Bruset, AFC Show hopes to field a vastly improved team compared to previous U-19 seasons.
