AFC Show scored the first time we got the ball, which was on a punt return by RB/PR/KR Simon Bruset, scoring the first of his record six TDs on the day. AFC Show also scored on our very first offensive play of the game, a short run up the middle by RB Simon Olsen. The very next drive, QB Pål Dannevig found Bruset for a touchdown pass. Simon Olsen got to test his kicking skills a drive later, scoring on a short field goal. At halftime the score was 50-6 for the home team.

The second half saw a Show team that switched gears. Show had 33 players dressed on the day, and started getting 2nd and 3rd string players into the game from the 2nd quarter and onwards, something that was particularily visible to the small crowd that braved the rainy and windy conditions at ISS Stadium in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Several rookies took the opportunity to shine, such as CB Kristian Gjeruldsen, who returned an interception for his first ever touchdown. Other highlights included a fumble recovery by rookie DT Joel Galmor, a touchdown pass from rookie QB Diego Miranda to Simon Olsen, and a touchdown run by rookie RB Desmond Baden.

Offensively, the weather conditions did prevent AFC Show from displaying the passing game that we were eager to test early in the game, but three passes ended up as touchdowns nonetheless, with WR Magnus Vadla on the receiving end of a beautiful long pass in addition to the passing TDs already mentioned.

The defense was eager to prove that they had improved from the Kristiansand game, and holding the Tønsberg Raiders to negative yardage seems to be evidence that the Show players have worked hard on the practice field after the loss to the Gladiators in Kristiansand.

Special Teams started with a touchdown on the first return of the game, but also allowed Tønsberg their only score of the afternoon on a 90-yard return straight up the middle. That was a disappointment, but at the same time a valuable lesson - adjustments have been made. The PAT/field goal unit got plenty of repetitions, and managed to get on the scoreboard on most of their opportunities.

"It was good for us to get all our 2nd and 3rd stringers on the field today. Our 1st string certainly proved why they're the starters, but we also got to see some of the backups step up from previous performances. I have a lot of respect for the Raiders, who gave it their all the entire game despite only fielding 12 players.", Head Coach Jarle Magnus Henriksen said.

AFC Show's next game is at home versus the Kristiansand Gladiators on the 22nd of May.

On the 14th of May AFC Show hosted the Tønsberg Raiders for the first home game of the season.

The Raiders struggled to get anything going against a well-prepared and much improved Show defense, and after four quarters of football, the home team could celebrate the first win of the season.

Despite heavy rain throughout the entire game, Show managed to score both through the air and on the ground. The final result was 84-6.

Runningback Simon Bruset had a great day, accounting for well over 200 yards just on his six touchdown plays. For the Tønsberg Raiders, RB/KR Espen A. R. Tetmo managed to get on the scoreboard, scoring his second TD of the season on a 90 yard kickoff return. He was however held in check as a RB, where the Show defense turned in a stellar performance.
