There was a one minute silence before the game in honor of deceased ISS student Stephane Ngueguim, who sadly passed away after collapsing at the ISS Stadium on Friday the 20th of May while participating in a rugby tournament. AFC Show offer our condolences to ISS and Stephane's family and friends.

The game started with the Kristiansand Gladiators receiving the ball, and making a solid return to midfield. The Gladiators started their first offensive drive by giving the ball to star RB Levan Abramishvili, who gained 7 yards on the play. Three downs later, and AFC Show had stuffed the Kristiansand team's offense three consecutive times, making sure there would be no score on the first drive. The AFC Show offense was similarily held in check by the solid Gladiators defense, and had to punt. However, the Show offense started gaining more and more momentum for each drive throughout the 1st quarter - a trend that continued in the 2nd quarter. With a few minutes left before halftime, RB Simon Bruset found the endzone, and RB Simon Olsen added the two-point conversion, making the score 8-0 in favor of the home team. Despite an injury to RB Abramishvili, the Kristiansand offense answered with their most successful drive of the day yardage-wise, but after a couple of solid gains through the air the drive stalled after a sack by LB Inge Bodsberg. The Show offense went to work with a little over a minute left of the half, but time ran out as Show approached the redzone several plays later.

AFC Show got the ball to start the 2nd half, and wasted no time, with RB Simon Olsen jumping over a defender and racing 69 yards for a touchdown on the very first offensive play of the half. QB Pål Dannevig found TE Jeroen Wiebes on the two-point conversion, making the score 16-0 in favor of AFC Show. One drive later, Dannevig found WR Magnus Vadla on a short pass that Vadla turned into a 62-yard touchdown with the help of a solid block from TE Wiebes. The home team's defense played their best game of the year, registering sacks, interceptions, tackles for loss, and forcing both fumbles and numerous punts. As the 3rd quarter turned into the 4th quarter the AFC Show offense had the ball again, and scored on a run by Simon Bruset, slicing through the Kristiansand defense for a 32-yard touchdown. This put the score at 28-0, which was also the final result.

"We knew coming in that we would face a very good team, and that we had to improve in all aspects of the game if we were to do better than we did down in Kristiansand. Lacking 9 players also meant we had to make some gameday adjustments. I am particularily pleased with how the defense stepped up, and how the offense kept going despite being much less of a passing team than we usually are due to the weather conditions.", Head Coach Jarle Magnus Henriksen commented.

Both the Kristiansand Gladiators and AFC Show are now at 2-1 in league play. If both teams can win against the Tønsberg Raiders, the Norwegian 2nd Division title will be decided in the last meeting between the Gladiators and AFC Show, which takes place in Kristiansand on the 19th of June.

AFC Show's next game is away against the Tønsberg Raiders at Greveskogen Idrettspark on the 4th of June.

On the 22nd of May AFC Show hosted the Kristiansand Gladiators on a rainy day in Stavanger.

The Kristiansand team, who beat Show 28-12 a few weeks ago at their home field, got to experience the inhospitality of the Stavanger weather and a fiercely aggressive Show team that seemed comfortable in the same conditions as in the previous home game against the Tønsberg Raiders.

In a tightly fought first half, Show managed to get on the scoreboard late in the 2nd quarter, making the halftime score 8-0. After a devastating 3rd quarter, there was no doubt what the outcome of the game would be, and the 2nd division winners will most likely be decided when the two teams face eachother in Kristiansand on the 19th of June.

The final result was 28-0 in favor of AFC Show.
